Dierks Bentley has released a new single called “Something Real.” The song is included on his latest album, Gravel & Gold, which was released earlier this year.
Dierks co-wrote “Something Real” while on a Colorado writing retreat with Ross Copperman, Michael Hardy, Ashley Gorley, and Luke Dick. He said, “I think we are all seeking something a little deeper than what’s on the surface, the things we see on social media. For me, that looks like putting my phone down, getting out in nature with my family, writing songs with my friends…doing the things where I find real connection. There is always a little hesitation about putting a new song in the set, but it’s sounding so good live and I appreciate the fans who already know it and are singing it back to us.”
Dierks is currently on his Gravel & Gold Tour with Jordan Davis as direct support and a group of special guests joining throughout the 28-city trek including Elle King, Tracy Lawrence, Tyler Braden, Caylee Hammack, Hot Country Knights, Kameron Marlowe, The Cadillac Three, The Red Clay Strays, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Shane Smith & the Saints, Caitlyn Smith and Hailey Whitters.
Dierks just wrapped up CMA Fest in Nashville over the weekend where he, Elle King, and Lainey Wilson both performed and served as hosts for the shows at Nissan Stadium which will be featured in this summer's ABC-TV special, CMA Fest. The three-hour show will air on Wednesday, July 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
